The 2013 International Conference on Advanced Capacitors, organized by The Electrochemical Society of Japan, was held in May 27 - May 30, 2013, at Osaka, Japan. Various new aspects on all types of capacitors were discussed in that four-day conference. The conference covered all fundamental and practical aspects of capacitors.
Topics concerning capacitor performances for power uses such as electric vehicles and energy back-up (storage) application as well as materials for advanced capacitors (e.g., carbonaceous materials, polymers, metal oxides, composites), and new concept for fabricating high performance energy and power storage devices were welcome.
The ICAC2013 provides an exciting forum to discuss recent progress in advanced capacitors. The conference focused on the following themes;
1. Basic science, advanced technologies and application of all types of capacitors, i.e., ceramic, film, aluminum electrolytic, tantalum, electric double-layer, electrochemical redox (pseudo), asymmetric, hybrid, lithium-ion capacitors, etc.
2. Capacitor performances for power uses such as electric vehicles and energy back-up (storage) application.
3. Materials for advanced capacitors (e.g., carbonaceous materials, polymers, metal oxides, composites), and new concept for fabricating high performance energy and power storage devices.
The technical program will include plenary, invited, contributed, young investigator oral, and poster presentations.
Plenary lectures provide an opportunity for conference attendees to hear from world-renowned speakers who have a passion for science and technology of capacitors.
